The soft baker is for grinding curves while the hard baker is for grinding plane.
The process procedure: the operator sticks the flex pad on the grinding machine, and then brings to bear some pressure to the machine to grind stone surface for five times come-and-go, at the same time, the operator must immits water into the backer continuously during the operation. Then, the operator should change the finer pad. The type of pads is from #50, #100, #200, #400, #800, #1500, #3000, #5000 to white/black buff in turn. According to the stone’s quality and operator’s experience, the worker can cut down procedures of using some types. White buff for light color, and black buff for dark color.
Flex polishing pad’s type is usually distinguished by the color of the nylon agraff. Most flex pads are needed to be immitted water during the operation, so they are also called wet pads.
Some special floors (eg. hotel’s stone floorboard) are not allowed to grind wet, at this time, the dry pad is used. Ordinarily, dry pad will not cause burning and pigmentation because of using the special bond type to make the surface intenerated and pealed off as well as to avoid hotness of surface. Of course, the grinding could not be too long.
